The Natural Philosophy Journal is open: a call for authors and reviewers
The Natural Philosophy Journal is a new journal, published by the Chappell Natural Philosophy Society. It exists because there is serious scientific work being done that cannot get into established journals for one reason: it criticizes mainstream science. Papers that question relativity, Big Bang cosmology or the standard interpretations of quantum theory are routinely rejected, often without review, for disagreeing with the consensus rather than for any fault in their reasoning.
This journal gives that work a fair hearing. Every paper receives genuine peer review that judges whether the argument is sound and the evidence supports the claim, not whether it agrees with established theory. Accepted papers are published openly, free to read and free to publish, with a permanent and citable record. The journal is published quarterly, in both electronic and print form. Authors keep their copyright.
Call for authorsWe are looking for authors doing serious work outside the mainstream. If you have a paper that challenges established theory and has been turned away elsewhere, or one you never sent because you knew it would be, we want to read it. Authors of accepted papers are eligible to present their work on the Society's YouTube channel. See the submission guidelines and the author template.
Call for reviewersWe are building our reviewer pool and need reviewers in physics, cosmology, engineering, the earth sciences and the philosophy of science. We ask reviewers to judge whether a paper's argument holds up, whether or not they agree with its conclusion. To volunteer, register with the journal and tick the box saying you are willing to review, or write to the editors at contact@naturalphilosophy.org. You can see who has already joined on our Reviewers page.
